"Hired bikes for 4 days and joined tours on two of those days... absolutely brilliant and didn't stop smiling.

Bart was our guide on those two days and as it was the start of the summer season (1st May) there was mixed ability in the groups. It didn't stop the flow for the faster cyclists, we just re-grouped at suitable points. 'Winter'tours are grouped into ability/speed categories until end of April.

I would definately recommend FreeMotion for hiring (good quality bikes and kit, if you dont want to travel with your own bike) and the tours were great- the climbs into the middle of the island are stunning and well worth the effort as is being guided on a tour, at least until you find your feet and can try some other routes for yourself.

"I made a 'drop-in' booking at the Playa del Ingles store with the intention of making a solo ride somewhere, and even though it was a busy week for rentals they managed to find me a 2017 Cannondale Synapse road bike.
Instead of the solo ride I joined the Thursday Sport XL tour in the company of guides Bart & Ronny and 5 other clients.
The route was fun and demanding, but well worth the sweat. I totally under estimated the hills, but thanks to Ronny & Bart I didn't slow down the group too much........"

"Rented BH for 6 days 6-11 Feb, excellent bike. There were several of us who rented, any problems sorted out straight away - mine had wrong pedals for my cleats but this corrected within minutes, gears became noisy after a few days but again adjusted straight away (wish I could adjust gears so easily!).
Friendly staff & very knowledgable."

Although I had to come back the day after (a size 61 is indeed not always available), every details was perfectly arranged. And...what a ride to Sorio. Hope to be back in winter."

He was good company and provided lots of local history and information throughout the ride - he even apologised for the lack of the normal tailwind that should have helped us back to base ????.
